Honda will run new turbo in Montreal

Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button will run updated turbos at this weekend's Canadian GP after Honda obtained positive results on the dyno. In the wake of the Monaco GP, a race where McLaren-Honda secured their second double points-haul of the campaign, Honda spoke of the possibility of updating their pwer unit ahead of Montreal. Honda F1 chief Yusuke Hasegawa said at the time: “Some of the updates that we have run in Sakura on the dyno I have seen have good results. The thing we have to do is confirm that technology is OK and the durability and the logistics to prepare.” With those boxes ticked, Honda will introduced the updated turbo in Canada this weekend.
