FIA releases analysis of Alonso's huge crash For the first time in Formula One a number of high-tech measurement devices have been utilised to give a fuller picture of what happens during an accident. Fernando Alonso’s accident at the season-opening 2016 Australian Grand Prix was a significant moment in the history of motor sport.
