Haas, Renault avoid supersoft tyres for Canadian GP

The Haas and Renault F1 teams have elected to avoid the supersoft tyre compound for next week's Canadian Grand Prix. Pirelli revealed on Tuesday the tyre sets chosen by each team for the Montreal race, and Haas and Renault have decided to just use two of the three compounds available. Haas will have a total of 10 sets of ultrasofts, while Renault will have eight. Renault will have five sets of softs to Haas's three, with both teams deciding to not use the supersofts. Leading teams Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have opted for similar strategies, with the German squad selecting eight sets of ultrasofts to its rivals' seven.
