Ricciardo beats Mercedes to Monte Carlo pole

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo has bagged pole for the Monaco Grand Prix in style after out-pacing both Mercedes of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The Australian driver finished off what has been a flawless weekend so far. Ricciardo will also be starting on the Super-Soft tyre, a tyre predicted could last twice as long as his rivals all starting on the Ultra-Soft. It turned out to be a disapointing session for Ricciardo's teammate Max Verstappen, who found the barriers in the first part of qualifying.
