Engine upgrade used only three development tokens – Renault

The upgrades brought to the Monaco Grand Prix by Renault used three of their available tokens, it was announced on Saturday. The power unit upgrade that was first tested during the post-Spanish Grand Prix test at the Circuit de Catalunya earlier this month by both the Renault Sport F1 and Red Bull Racing teams was highly praised by all drivers, with both Kevin Magnussen and Daniel Ricciardo getting the benefit of the engine this weekend. The use of just three tokens to improve the driveability of the engine means Renault still have twenty-one tokens available to them to develop the power unit during the season, which bodes well with how improved the engine already seems to be. “You need...
