Schumacher agreed to leave Ferrari for McLaren – Dennis McLaren F1 team is celebrating 50 years of Formula 1 world championship in Monaco this weekend. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Technology Group, and the Chairman of McLaren Automotive, Ron Dennis has revealed that the Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher provisionally agreed to leave Ferrari for McLaren F1 late 1990s. In 1996, Schumacher joined Ferrari, from Benetton following winning his first two world title; he left Benetton a year before his contract with them expired.
