Rosberg has contract for 2017 F1 – Zetsche Nico Rosberg looks set to stay at Mercedes GP beyond 2016 Formula 1 season. Before the sensational first-lap crash with teammate Lewis Hamilton on Sunday, Daimler chairman Dieter Zetsche suggested to the German media that championship leader Rosberg has secured a new contract. 'Both drivers are under contract for the forthcoming season,' Speed Week quotes him as saying. Spanish GP ended with zero points for championship leader Rosberg, he remains first in the championship with a 39 point lead over Kimi Raikkonen.
