Magnussen handed post-race penalty following Palmer clash

Kevin Magnussen was handed a ten-second post-race penalty and two penalty points on his Superlicence after a clash with Renault Sport F1 team-mate Jolyon Palmer during Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix. The team-mates came together on the final lap of the race while battling for thirteenth position on the road, and the stewards at the Circuit de Catalunya deemed the Danish driver responsible. The ten-second penalty relegates Magnussen to fifteenth on the road, dropping behind the Sauber of Felipe Nasr, while Palmer was able to continue unabated, taking the chequered flag in thirteenth.
