Jolyon Palmer: “Probably the best race I’ve done”

Jolyon Palmer finished thirteenth during the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, and felt it was his best performance so far during his first Formula 1 season. The Renault Sport F1 team driver was disappointed not to have been able to secure points around the Circuit de Catalunya, but made a mid-race switch from a three-stop to a two-stop strategy work for him to finish ahead of team-mate Kevin Magnussen. Palmer will sit out this week’s post-Spanish Grand Prix test, with reserve driver Esteban Ocon taking to the track instead, so is now focused on the Monaco Grand Prix at the end of the month, and is hopeful that the updates being brought to the car enables them to have a stronger race in the...
