Rosberg was in the wrong engine setting – Wolff Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has confirmed that Nico Rosberg had lost power because he was in a wrong engine setting mode shortly before the pair collided. Hamilton had started from pole but lost the lead to Rosberg at turn one, quickly he attacking on the run down to the turn four right-hander following a tight exit triggered by his car being in an ‘incorrect power mode'. Hamilton closed quickly on Rosberg; the German would defend the line and forced the Brit onto the grass.
