Hamilton bounces back; Verstappen steals the show – Qualifying Report

Spanish Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton has taken pole position for Sunday's race at the Circuit de Catalunya, but it was Max Verstappen's first appearance with Red Bull that stole the show. Lewis Hamilton made an error on his first run in Q3, running wide in the final sector and ending up behind Rosberg after their first runs. This became P3 moments later, as Max Verstappen pushed him down having made it through Q1 & Q2 by being best of the rest behind the two Mercs in both parts. However, Hamilton's second run in Q3 saw him put in a 1:22.000, a time Rosberg wasn't able to match, meaning the German driver ended up P2 almost 0.3 seconds down on Hamilton's time.
