Rosberg fastest; 0.1 splits Ferrari & Merc – FP2 Report

Spanish Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg has gone fastest for Mercedes in FP2, but it's close between his team and Ferrari. Rosberg set the fastest time during the second practice session, a 1:23.9 on the Soft tyre to go 0.2 seconds clear of Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari. However, the Finn's FP1 time on the same tyre was a 1:24.0 flat, meaning just 0.1 seconds between the two cars on the same tyres, albeit in different track conditions. Despite finishing P2, the session wasn't plain sailing for Raikkonen as he was told to come into the pits halfway through the session with an apparent fuel system problem.
