Alonso on cockpit protection: "F1 doesn't need heroes"

Fernando Alonso says Formula 1 "does not need heroes" as he insisted that a cockpit protection system is a "must" for the sport. As Formula 1 pushes on with plans to introduce the new safety device next year, Red Bull became the second team to test a cockpit protection system on Friday at Sochi. Red Bull's Aeroscreen has received mixed reviews, but Alonso says there is no room for bravado when it comes to safety.
