Rosberg quickest in dramatic opening session – FP1 Report

Russian Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg was fastest in the Friday morning practice session, topping teammate Lewis Hamilton by 0.7 seconds. The reigning World Champion had a spin at Turn 2 early in the session, compromising the opening to his weekend. Hamilton goes to Russia with a 36-point deficit to his team mate after mixed results in the first three races. He managed P2 behind Rosberg. Ferrari had a difficult first session, but still proved to be the second fastest team on the grid behind the Mercs.
