Pirelli choose fastest tyres for Austrian GP

Pirelli have confirmed tyre allocation for the Austrian Grand Prix, with the fastest available tyre – the new ultra-soft tyre – being deployed for the third time this season. For round nine of this year's championship at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, drivers will choose from the soft, super-soft and ultra-soft compounds for their thirteen-set allocation. The ultra-soft tyre, which is an addition to the tyre selection for 2016, has yet to be used so far this season, with the opening venues having higher tyre degradation circuits. The tyre will be used for the first time at this year's Monaco Grand Prix, before being used in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix.
