Pirelli confirm ultra-softs for Austria

Pirelli's ultra-soft tyre will have its third outing of this season at round nine of the championship, the Austrian Grand Prix. Pirelli have announced that the new compound, which will also be used in Monaco and Canada, will be the softest option on hand at the Red Bull Ring. The super-soft and soft are the other two compounds. The 22 drivers will all have to use the yellow softs and the red super-softs at some point in the race while the purple marked ultra-softs must be used in qualifying. After that, the drivers are free to choose their remaining 10 sets.
