Alonso: China will help reference opponents
– Fernando Alonso believes that McLaren's display and positioning during the Chinese Grand Prix will help the team to form references compared to its rivals.Alonso's two-stop strategy left him outside of the points in China as he collected 12th position, but the Spaniard feels that McLaren's role in the midfield action will aid understanding of where it needs to improve."We chose a two-stop strategy and tried to benefit from that, but the early Safety Car didn't help us, and our race didn't really work out as planned after that," said Alonso"We need to look in detail at the areas in which we need to improve – we ran among a lot of different cars, so we should have...
