China: the first time around

If it's a surprise to see Ferrari on top in China, then maybe it shouldn't be. Ferrari is the most successful team in Shanghai, with four wins out of the 12 races staged here to date (Mercedes and McLaren are tied for second with three wins apiece.). Ferrari were in fact the very first winners here, and for once it wasn't a race won by Michael Schumacher during his dominant streak but rather his long-time team mate Rubens Barrichello who beat Jenson Button (BAR-Honda) and Kimi Raikkonen (McLaren-Mercedes) to the chequered flag. Here he is celebrating the victory, which came on September 29 2004.
