Alonso cleared to race in Chinese GP

Fernando Alonso has been given the all clear to race for the remainder of the Chinese Grand Prix following his latest medical inspection by the FIA. Following conditions laid down by the governing body on Thursday, Alonso had to complete a fresh medical examination after he had finished the first practice session. Having reported no problems with his driving through the first 90-minute free practice session, Alonso was swiftly cleared by the governing body after he visited the medical centre on Friday lunchtime.
