Daniel Ricciardo ecstatic with unexpected qualifying result

Daniel Ricciardo says he and the team never expected to finish so high in qualifying after the Australian secured fifth behind the Mercedes and Ferrari cars. Ricciardo admitted seventh or eighth would have been a good result for the team following their performance in practice and therefore fifth was above his expectations. 'I'm really happy with the result today,' said Ricciardo. 'We didn’t expect to be fifth, especially from my side of the garage as yesterday didn’t go too well and this morning wasn’t great either.
