Bahrain Grand Prix – Here are live updates of the qualifying session for the 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir Circuit. Q1: The second qualifying session to run under the new elimination rules began under a beautiful low sun as night drew in at the Sakhir track. In case you've missed it, a new driver took part in his first F1 qualifying here as Stoffel Vandoorne replaced Fernando Alonso for the weekend due to Alonso's injuries. The immediate rush to set laptimes before the elimination window opened saw the Mercedes squabble with Kimi Raikkonen for track position as they all started their first flying laps, with the first time set by Sebastian Vettel.
