Rosberg quickest in Bahrain GP Friday practice, Mercedes dominates
Nico Rosberg led the way on Friday in practice for this Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix, the second round in the 2016 Formula One World Championship, as Mercedes comfortably topped the times. Rosberg finished second practice this evening under the floodlights with a 1m 31.001s lap, leaving him 0.241s up on team-mate, Lewis Hamilton and 1.282s up on McLaren’s Jenson Button in third. Mercedes had been similarly dominant in the first session, with Rosberg again quickest, 0.505s up on Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen third, 1.329s further back.
