Drivers demand overhaul of 'obsolete and ill-structured' Formula 1

Formula 1 drivers have demanded change at the very top of the sport after branding its decision-making process as “obsolete and ill-structured”. Amid growing frustration about the direction of F1, Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA) directors Jenson Button, Sebastian Vettel and Alex Wurz have published an open letter on behalf of the drivers calling for change. Addressing F1’s stakeholders, followers and fans, the GPDA has called for an overhaul of the sport’s governance structure, and a push for a new direction which should “reflect the principles and core values of Formula 1”.
