Alonso: 'Pleasant surprise' for McLaren

– Fernando Alonso declared himself as "happy" after completing the majority of McLaren's programme during practice for the Australian Grand Prix, despite wet weather impacting on proceedings.Alonso, who missed the event in 2015 due to injury, placed seventh and sixth in the two sessions, and says McLaren received a "pleasant surprise," at Albert Park."I think we're feeling quite happy after today," he said."It's nice to be back here in Melbourne: sometimes, when you come away from testing and go to a different circuit, you receive a pleasant surprise… or an unpleasant surprise.
