Hamilton fastest in rain affected first practice – FP1 Report

Australian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton has gone fastest in a disrupted practice session in Melbourne, which saw rain curtail track action. Somewhat unusually for Melbourne, rain greeted the teams and drivers early on Friday morning. While quite heavy early on, it had improved a little by the time the first practice session began. As is now customary in wet weather, this meant that track action wasn't quite as frenetic as a dry practice session and the first hour consisted of mostly installation laps and small mileage for the drivers as the teams rolled out two cars at once for the first time in 2016.
