Rosberg fastest as final test begins

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg clocked the quickest time as Mercedes continued to impress during the opening day of the second test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Rosberg set a time of 1:23.022 during the morning session on Soft tyres, lapping only 0.2s slower than Sebastian Vettel’s quickest time last week, which was set on the Ultra Soft compound. Mercedes also racked up the most mileage once more, as Lewis Hamilton took over from Rosberg in the afternoon and completed a race simulation in the W07 Hybrid, setting quick and consistent times. Valtteri Bottas was second fastest for Williams, only 0.207s behind Rosberg, albeit having set his best lap on the Ultra Soft compound....
