Hamilton: Driver of the day is a pointless exercise

Reigning triple world champion Lewis Hamilton has launched another attack on the latest rule tweaks in Formula 1. Earlier this week, Hamilton said moves to make the cars wider but also heavier in 2017 are ridiculous. And now, the Mercedes driver has ridiculed the decision to crown a ‘Driver of the day' after each grand prix. At Tuesday's meeting of the F1 Commission, it was decided that TV viewers would vote for the best driver during the telecast and then see him 'presented with their prize' at the finish.
