Barcelona F1 test: Hulkenberg on top as Haas shines

Nico Hulkenberg made good use of a run on super-soft tyres to dominate the timesheets on the third day of Formula 1 testing at Barcelona on Wednesday. The Force India driver, the only man to try the red-sidewalled tyres today, finished with a best time of 1:23.110 in his first outing in the new VJM09m, having taken over from teammate Sergio Perez. Newcomer Haas had another promising day, with Romain Grosjean jumping up to second place in the final minutes of the session thanks to a run on soft tyres.
