The first days of testing

Sebastian Vettel transferred onto Pirelli's new ultra-soft compound which let to setting the fastest time on the second day of pre-season Formula 1 testing. Vettel completed the opening day at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya quickest on the medium compound in the morning session in his Ferrari.   For his second day, behind the wheel of the SF16-H, Vettel continued to set the pace, initially on the mediums, then transferring onto the super-soft (originally designed for street races) Daniel Ricciardo (racing for Red Bull) was the first to try out the purple-banded rubber late in the session, surpassing Vettel with a lap of 1m23.525s.
