Toro Rosso halted by gearbox problem
– Carlos Sainz Jr. and Toro Rosso were sidelined by a gearbox issue on the opening day of pre-season testing at the Barcelona circuit.Sainz Jr. gave the temporarily all-blue STR11 its track debut on Monday, working his way past the 50-lap mark by the early afternoon.Toro Rosso went on to notice a gearbox oil system irregularity in the data, however, and stopped the new car with a few hours to spare."We completed our build-up runs in the morning and everything was progressing quite well, with a decent number of laps completed before the lunch break," said Chief Race Engineer Phil Charles."Unfortunately, during one of the early runs this afternoon we saw something in the...
