1000 man years of work has gone into SF16-H - Allison
Ferrari technical director James Allison is optimistic the SF16-H represents a significant step over its race-winning SF15-T predecessor, but says he will withhold judgement until the car runs for the first time in pre-season testing. Credited as one of the driving forces behind Ferrari's return to prominence in 2015, Allison has hinted at a number of innovations being adopted for the SF16-H in its efforts to take the fight to Mercedes, most notably a shorter nose and a tapered rear-end. Indeed, Allison says Ferrari began work on the SF16-H early enough for it to have accumulated what he describes as '1000 man years' of development, which he hopes will see it hit the ground running come...
