Eddie Jordan in line for Top Gear role

 XPB Images Former F1 team owner and BBC TV pundit Eddie Jordan is set to join the new Top Gear line-up, per multiple reports. The 67-year-old would join Chris Evans and famous ‘Friends’ actor Matt LeBlanc, who was recently confirmed as part of the revamped presenting cast. One of the most popular shows on the Beeb, Top Gear is currently being refurbished after star host Jeremy Clarkson was axed for punching producer Oisin Tymon. Jordan had been part of the BBC’s F1 coverage squad since 2009 but the channel elected to stop broadcasting the sport at the end of last year, with Channel 4 stepping in to take over the rights in the UK for the next three years.
