Mercedes latest F1 team to pass 2016 crash tests

Mercedes has become the latest Formula 1 team to complete the FIA's tougher crash tests for 2016. The Brackley-based outfit, which is chasing its third consecutive championship double this season, joins a host of other outfits in completing the FIA's homologation requirement. Mercedes executive director Paddy Lowe said recently that the team had had to do a lot of work to comply with a new requirement for improved driver head protection.
