Two in-season tests this season

Barcelona and Silverstone will host the in-season tests this year. Whilst in 2015 it was Barcelona and the Red Bull Ring that hosted the all-important tests, this year Silverstone replaces the Austrian venue. The two-day tests will take place on the Tuesday and Wednesday following the Grand Prix, which means Barcelona will see action on 17/18 May and Silverstone 12/13 July. Of the four days of testing, teams must allocate at least two to Young Driver testing. With an eye on the regulation changes in 2017, there will also be a number of tyre tests though these have yet to be confirmed.
