Renault set to name third driver next month

– Renault says that it is on track to announce a reserve driver for its renewed works Formula 1 effort next month, amid speculation that former McLaren racer Kevin Magnussen has held talks to join the team.After lengthy deliberation, Renault finally announced its planned takeover of Lotus in early December, with payment of the team's debts, and transfer of shares, completed by the end of the month.Pastor Maldonado and Jolyon Palmer both signed for the outfit before Renault's takeover, though the French manufacturer made clear to GPUpdate.net that there would be no changes to its 2016 race line-up.British newspaper The Telegraph has reported that Magnussen, who raced for McLaren in...
