Pirelli confirms wet tyre test at Paul Ricard
The Paul Ricard circuit will host a two-day wet tyre test later this month, Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli confirmed on Monday. Only Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren will take part in the test at the French track, however. As revealed by Motorsport.com last year, the test will run on January 25-26 and it will be open to the media. Only full wet weather tyres will be tested, meaning no intermediates will be used. Pirelli said more information about the drivers and the test programme will be made available in the coming days. The Italian manufacturer had been trying for some time to organise a wet test in order to develop its rain tyres.
