Alesi rules out Renault podiums

Although Lotus secured a podium in 2015, Jean Alesi says there is 'no chance' of that happening in 2016 as the team returns to Renault ownership. 2015 ended with confirmation that Renault have finally concluded their purchase of Lotus, the team they had earlier sold to Genii Capital. But while F1 legend Alesi has welcomed Renault's return to a works team, he has written off any chance of them securing a podium this season. 'This is very important for [France], because we used to have in the past grands prix,' he told Motorsport.com.
