Surprise of the Year: Vettel wins for Ferrari

At the end of 2014 Sebastian Vettel surprised all by departing Red Bull and move to Ferrari, in the wake of a season in which he was bettered by teammate Daniel Ricciardo. Vettel took flak for a below par season by those who attributed his four back-to-back titles as a fluke and a result of being in the right car at the right time. Many questioned Vettel's ability to adapt to a less aero dependent Formula 1, and doubted his move to Ferrari would be a success.
