Sepang circuit to close for resurfacing

– Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit will officially close its doors for almost three months early next year, as track resurfacing and general upgrade works are carried out.Work at the track, which was last updated in 2007, will involve the entire 5.543km circuit being resurfaced, to ensure its continued status as an FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A venue.Sepang will be closed to all activities from February 15 to May 8, with Formula 1 visiting the track at a much later date of October 2 in 2016, as opposed to its usual slot in late March.MotoGP's opening pre-season test, from February 1-3, will go ahead as planned."The last five years have seen an average 98 per cent usage of...
