Vandoorne tops Abu Dhabi tyre test

– GP2 Champion Stoffel Vandoorne set the fastest time for McLaren-Honda during Pirelli's 12-hour post-race tyre test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, to round out 2015's on-track Formula 1 action.Vandoorne completed 99 laps, the best of which was a 1:44.103, as he ended three-tenths of a second clear of Ferrari's Kimi Räikkönen, as Sauber's Marcus Ericsson placed third.After some initial runs on Super Soft and Soft tyres in order to confirm car set-ups, Pirelli introduced several prototype tyres, including variations of the new Ultra Soft compound, as well as new tyre constructions.The tyres were not marked and teams were not aware of which compounds they were...
