Williams drops Massa exclusion appeal due to cost

Williams has chosen to withdraw its appeal against Felipe Massa's exclusion from the Brazilian Grand Prix, citing cost as one of the reasons it won't pursue the action. The Brazilian had finished eighth last weekend, securing four points for the Grove outfit, but he was later excluded over tyre temperatures. The FIA claimed a measurement taken on the grid identified that Massa's right-rear tyre was 27 degrees centigrade above the maximum allowed tyre temperature prescribed by tyre supplier Pirelli. Williams claim the reading was incorrect, as they took three separate measurements which all confirmed his tyres were within the limits allowed They therefore lodged an appeal, but have now...
