Analysis: Why Mercedes refused strategy alteration

THE BRAZILIAN GP for many a fan was a frustrating experience. The battle for the lead of the race never materialised into it's spectacular potential. Mercedes dominated, but chose not to split their drivers' strategies despite a pressing call from one of them to do so. JORDAN HARVEY investigates why. Lap 12: Nico Rosberg dives into the pits to momentarily relinquish the lead of the Brazilian GP over his team mate Lewis Hamilton in what was otherwise a commanding drive for the German driver, leading to a second win in succession.
