Ricciardo to use upgraded Renault engine
– Red Bull has confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will trial Renault's upgraded power unit during this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix, leaving the Australian to incur a 10-place grid penalty.Renault used the bulk of its in-season development tokens prior to the United States Grand Prix last month but neither Red Bull nor Toro Rosso opted to use the upgrades. As Ricciardo has already exceeded his power unit allocation for 2015, he is set to sustain a 10-place grid penalty from wherever he qualifies.Red Bull has not yet confirmed whether Ricciardo's team-mate, Daniil Kvyat, will also run with the upgraded engine this weekend.
