Kimi Raikkonen picks up penalty for engine change

Mexican Grand Prix – Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen will start from the very back of the grid for Sunday's race in Mexico after Ferrari decided to change his power unit and ancillaries. The Finn qualified P15 after being sent out in Q2 on the Medium compound tyres. Having had a gearbox failure in Saturday morning's FP3, Raikkonen's car wasn't quite ready for Qualifying but he managed to make it through Q1. Having picked up a five place grid penalty for the gearbox change, Raikkonen now must take a further 30 place grid penalty due to Ferrari changing Kimi's power unit, MGU-H, turbo, energy store & control electronics. “This morning (Saturday) we had a problem with the car in P3, and we...
