Vettel: I tried everything, Mercedes just too quick

Sebastian Vettel says he 'tried everything' in qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix, but Mercedes was just too quick. The Ferrari driver finished Q3 in third place, four tenths behind pole-sitter Nico Rosberg and two tenths slower than the second Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. He will start the Mexican Grand Prix at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez from row two, alongside Red Bull's Daniil Kvyat. 'I think in the end we were hoping for it to be a bit closer, but it wasn’t,' Vettel explained. 'Already in Q2, even in Q1 to be fair with the hard tyre, they looked very, very quick.
