Kevin Magnussen set for Porsche WEC test

Former McLaren man Kevin Magnussen will test the Porsche 919 at Circuit Di Catalunya in November. Magnussen, who served as reserve driver at McLaren this year after being demoted from a race driver with the arrival of Fernando Alonso at the end of 2014, has so far failed to land a confirmed seat for 2016. A lifeline remains open with the Haas team but, with the team seemingly set to announce Esteban Gutierrez in their second seat alongside Romain Grosjean, Magnussen has started looking at other series.
