Rosberg's deflation, Hamilton's elation and weather consternation
A slow start to the weekend brought an explosive end. The US GP had all the ingredients to be a show stopping spectacle of car control, race winning (or losing) strategy and duels to rival any boxing match everywhere you looked on the Circuit of The Americas' 3.4 mile ribbon of tarmac. Newly crowned world champion Lewis Hamilton had to fight hard for the points to fall his way. At times, he was the most unlikely victor out of the front running cars, yet his composure was maintained and he eventually won the race, and with it, the world drivers' championship for a third time.
