COTA delays opening as bad weather continues

– Officials at the Circuit of the Americas have taken the decision to significantly delay the track's opening time on Saturday, with torrential weather conditions continuing to affect Austin and surrounding areas.Friday's running at the venue was severely hampered by the arriving weather front, with FP1 taking place on a sodden track, and FP2 cancelled as rain increased and lightning posed a threat to safety.As expected, the poor weather continued into Saturday, leading COTA chiefs to delay the gate opening time until noon, four hours later than originally scheduled, and two hours after the planned start of FP3."For the safety of our fans and employees, today's opening has been...
