Palmer gets Lotus race seat for 2016
otus has completed its driver line-up for the 2016 season, with Jolyon Palmer, who has spent 2015 in a reserve role with the team, stepping up to a race seat alongside the already confirmed Pastor Maldonado.Palmer, the 2014 GP2 champion, arrived at Lotus at the beginning of the year, and has since made 10 free practice appearances with the Enstone-based outfit, alongside extensive simulator duties.Lotus had initially expected to continue with an unchanged pairing of Maldonado and Romain Grosjean next year, but the Frenchman's impending switch to Haas opened up a space, which Palmer has taken."I'm obviously delighted that I'll be racing in Formula 1 next year," said...
