US Grand Prix Second practice cancelled FIA official update – and it's hardly a surprise. 'P2 is cancelled. No medical helicopter operations for the next 2 hours.' Torrential rain and dangerous electrical storms with lightning are the main reason of Friday’s second free practice session cancellation at the United States Grand Prix. Fans and marshals told to take cover amid threat from lightning as no track running takes place.
